This Spring, we're going to Hornby Island on a Yoga & Art Adventure!
If you're looking to get away, immerse yourself in Nature, practice Yoga on a remote island, create a very special piece of Nature inspired Mosaic Art to take home with you... we've got a retreat for you!
Calgary Mosaic Artist, Michelena Bamford & I are offering you the chance to spend 4 days and 3 nights on Hornby Island, BC. We'll be doing Yoga onsite in the Sun Door Yoga Shala and creating a take home art piece; sleeping in the sweetest, converted caravans and cottages; minutes away from our early morning Sunrise Beach Walks; 3 delicious vegetarian meals a day and time to simply unwind in the company of like minded Wanderers.

Yoga & Art Adventure Investment:
$850 per person for shared caravan accommodation
$950 per person for shared indoor accommodation

Yoga Supplies: SUN DOOR provides mats, bolsters, blankets, eye pillows, and fresh drinking water. Bring your own water bottle and personal Yoga equipment outside of this.
What to bring to Hornby: Flashlight, water bottle, hot drinks vessel (optional), mosquito repellent, sun screen, clothing for changeable weather, hat, sunglasses, umbrella or rain cover, personal food requirements outside of the general Vegan, Vegetarian or Gluten free foods available at mealtimes, hot water bottle (optional), personal towel and facecloth, good walking shoes, simple personal hygiene ingredients, and please reduce bringing synthetic body care products (scents).
Travel to Hornby: By air to Comox (WestJet flies direct from Calgary daily). You can rent a car at the airport and drive to Buckley Bay to catch a ferry to Denman Island, then another to Hornby Island. Arrangements can be made to share a car rental.
Accommodation: The accommodations at SUN DOOR are beautiful, humble, cozy, private, comfortable and charming. Your bedding (sheets, duvet, blanket and pillows) are provided. Your rooms will be in either one of the vintage trailer caravans in the woods, the Fifth Wheel ‘Holy Cow’, the outdoor Bell Tent or in one of the shared or semi private in house bedrooms. Fresh drinking water, light tea making/cooking is available, and the eco-facilities of outdoor wash stand and hot/cold shower are available for the caravans/tent, and indoor facilities for in house accommodation.
Food :The vegetarian meals at SUN DOOR are all lovingly prepared with fresh local, seasonal, organic ingredients and offer a full and very delicious compliment to your retreat time. Vegan and gluten free options are always available. Chai and coffee are available over breakfast and there is a tea tray for daytime and evening hot drinks.
